Toronto, ON – October 2025 — SkillHat, one of Canada’s fastest-growing EdTech companies, has announced the launch of its largest program to date, the AI Consultant Accelerator, designed to equip professionals, and entrepreneurs with the skills to thrive in the rapidly evolving AI economy.

With entry-level tech roles down nearly 40 percent since 2022 (Indeed, 2024), companies are no longer hiring beginners. They are seeking experts who can lead AI-powered initiatives from day one. The AI Consultant Accelerator bridges that gap by training participants to become AI Consultants capable of identifying business problems, designing AI systems end-to-end, and implementing secure, scalable solutions.

“Employers don’t just want data entry or requirements gathering anymore,” said Mo Ekujumi, Founder & CEO of SkillHat. “They want people who can architect entire systems, define business constraints, and lead transformation projects. Our mission is to help professionals rise to that level, not just to get jobs, but to build careers and companies that shape the future.”

The program is structured in two phases:

  • AI Core Training (9 weeks): Focused on AI problem-solving, workflow automation, prompt engineering, vibe coding, AI Agents, and AI cybersecurity.

  • Founder Track (4 weeks): Coaching participants to package their expertise into consulting offers, generate leads, and close clients, empowering them to launch their own AI consulting businesses.

SkillHat’s mission extends beyond skills training to address systemic under-representation in tech. Black professionals currently hold only 3 percent of tech jobs, and women make up about 30 percent of the sector. Through this initiative, SkillHat aims to open new pathways for these groups to enter and lead in high-paying, high-impact roles.

“Our vision has always been to launch people into their dream careers, and now, into entrepreneurship,” Ekujumi added. “If opportunity doesn’t knock, we’ll build the door.”

To support accessibility, SkillHat is awarding $30,000 in scholarships.

The program officially begins October 17, 2025, and scholarship applications close Monday.
